I knew for the holidays, I wanted to prepare grazing boards (charcuterie boards) for my guests. These boards always amaze me and can sometimes be quite intimidating because of the nature of their fullness.
Well, I waited until the last minute to decide on adding this to my menu and possibly couldn’t hire someone to do this for me the day before or on thanksgiving so I attempted to make my own.
I purchased most of my items from: Trader Joes, a local grocery store and the Dollar Tree.
What I included:
- 2-3 meats (definitely need salami for the infamous meat rose)
- 2-3 cheeses
- mixed nuts
- mini pickles
- grapes
- 2-3 different crackers
- 1-2 dips
- fig spread
- mini bell peppers
- celery
- olives
- edamame
- pumpkin seeds
- thin crispy bread sticks
I had so much food leftover from the larger board that I made a smaller board that included more of the sweeter options.
This was so fun to do and I believe this is easy enough for other beginners like myself.
So, if you are contemplating making your own and trying to talk yourself out of it…don’t! GO FOR IT.
